CPSC, The Designers Edge Announce Recall of Fluorescent Worklights

Official recall recorded by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The hazard

The worklight's power cord has loose connections, which could result in live wires being exposed. It poses electrocution and shock hazards to consumers. Also, the firm mislabeled the worklight. The product improperly bears the UL mark and is marked "suitable for wet locations."

What to do

Consumers should immediately stop using these worklights, and return them to the store where purchased for a free replacement. If light was purchased by mail order, contact the firm on how to receive your free replacement. Known purchasers were notified about this recall.
