CPSC, ECR International Announce Recall to Repair of Gas Boilers

Official recall recorded by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The hazard

The burners on these boilers could produce excess carbon monoxide (CO) in the flue, due to improper combustion, posing a risk of CO poisoning to consumers.

What to do

Consumers should contact ECR International immediately to arrange for a free repair. CPSC recommends that every home should have at least one CO alarm that meets the requirements of the most recent Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 2034 standard, International Approval Services 6-96 standard or the Canadian Standards Association 6.19-01 standard.
