CPSC, Suzuki Motor Corporation Announce Recall of ATVs

Official recall recorded by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The hazard

The nut that secures the LT-F400K2 and LT-F400FK2 clutch shoe will come loose during operation. When the nut loosens, the clutch shoe will become loose on the crankshaft. In some cases this will cause severe damage to the clutch wheel and crankshaft or can cause the crankshaft to break. This will interrupt power transfer from the engine to the transmission and the drive wheels and may leave the rider stranded away from his or her base of operation.

What to do

Consumers should contact their local Suzuki dealer to schedule an appointment for their ATV to be inspected and repaired. The inspection and repair will be performed at no cost.
