Playtex Products Voluntarily Announces Pacifier Recall in Cooperation with CPSC

Official recall recorded by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The hazard

Because the latex is aging faster than normal, the nipple can detach from the shield, presenting a choking hazard to babies.

What to do

Consumers should stop using the recalled pacifiers immediately and return them directly to Playtex for a free replacement pacifier or a $3 coupon toward the purchase of another Playtex infant feeding or soothing product. Consumers should send the pacifiers to Playtex Pacifiers, Playtex Products Inc., 20 Troy Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. Playtex will reimburse consumers for postage.
